8"x8" mixed media: acrylic, glaze, coarse aluminum, iron oxide, gold mica, pearl mica, mother of pearl shells, misc. found shell, metal starfish, bead, and faux pearl cluster. This is a shimmering painting done in rich browns, coppers, golds, teals, and blues. The glimmering metallic flecks of crushed rock imitate the sand. They add a sense of elegance and a touch of nature to the piece. A compass with a mother of pearl center runs off the edge of the canvas. An underwater collage exudes tranquility and serenity mixed with a twist of excitement. This painting is LOADED with texture (the collage pieces stick out of the canvas at least 1 cm). The Botany Of Beauty

SOLD
This is a life sized female mannequin. It is hand painted, signed, and dated by the artist. It was created in July, 2006. It never has been, or will be reproduced. Done in shimmering metallic pinks, golds, and magentas, this piece adds a touch of femininty and a splash of nature to any space. The delicate green vines drape down her figure. Ripples of red, orange, and white accentuate her curving form. The bold tears and folds combined with the dainty pinks and soft greens give this piece a sense of growth and evolution. The allusion to the "messy" internal physical layout of her body versus the beautiful, composed exterior will give any room loads of character. A dazzling fleur-di-lis done with crushed mica, metallic acrylics, and vibrant fuschia adorns her right thigh. This piece of artwork seems to shimmer and shift colors according to the lighting. It is meticulously done in layers of washes and glazes to give it depth and personality...a nice addition to any collection!

Purity Percieved (in retrospect)

SOLD
This is a life-sized hanging female mannequin that I painted using acrylics, glazes, varnish, crushed gold mica, and pearl mica. The shoulder pieces are made of wire and beads. Many, many layers of whites, creams, metallic gold, violet, and pearl all come together in a soft yet shimmering female torso. Just a few sparse drips of matte black tumble down the natural curves of her body, adding a touch of contrast and a hint of the macabre. Glittering, glistening shards of crushed mica run in organic stripes across the painting. Another conversation piece, for sure!

Evolving Endurance (flights of fancy)

*This piece is going to Avant Gallery in Miami, Fl. (avantgallery.com)* Grand opening Dec. sixth* (During the week of Art Basel)

This painting depicts a twisted white tree growing out of a patch of floating land. In it's branches are nestled a tiny robin and her nest. In the background white silhouettes of birds fly towards the refuge of a floating oasis in the midst of a dark, restless void (done in multiple layers and various patterns of crushed rock, harlequin diamonds, and metallic glazes.) Real grass and dirt are painted into the island for added texture. This piece really shimmers and changes according to the light. Reference to our environment and it's future lay the foundation for a definate conversation piece! Completely unique, this painting takes the traditional form of a square canvas to a new level-a three-dimensional female form adds aesthetic value and texture to any room!
