Purity Percieved (in retrospect)

SOLD
This is a life-sized hanging female mannequin that I painted using acrylics, glazes, varnish, crushed gold mica, and pearl mica. The shoulder pieces are made of wire and beads. Many, many layers of whites, creams, metallic gold, violet, and pearl all come together in a soft yet shimmering female torso. Just a few sparse drips of matte black tumble down the natural curves of her body, adding a touch of contrast and a hint of the macabre. Glittering, glistening shards of crushed mica run in organic stripes across the painting. Another conversation piece, for sure!
