Evolving Endurance (flights of fancy)

*This piece is going to Avant Gallery in Miami, Fl. (avantgallery.com)* Grand opening Dec. sixth* (During the week of Art Basel)

This painting depicts a twisted white tree growing out of a patch of floating land. In it's branches are nestled a tiny robin and her nest. In the background white silhouettes of birds fly towards the refuge of a floating oasis in the midst of a dark, restless void (done in multiple layers and various patterns of crushed rock, harlequin diamonds, and metallic glazes.) Real grass and dirt are painted into the island for added texture. This piece really shimmers and changes according to the light. Reference to our environment and it's future lay the foundation for a definate conversation piece! Completely unique, this painting takes the traditional form of a square canvas to a new level-a three-dimensional female form adds aesthetic value and texture to any room!
