"Memoirs of the Macabre: Requiem in Rouge"

This is a one of a kind, original, signed piece of artwork. It is a volumptous nude female mannequin adorned with layers upon layers of vibrant reds, deep coppers, soft golds, and rich blacks. There are multiple textures and techniques used to give this piece depth and tons of personality. It oozes of the darker underbelly (literally) of society. Delicate, twinkling stars done in white pearlescent paint and real pieces of crushed pearl mica are scattered across the whole painting. Metallic gold gothic leaf scrollwork is accented with large flecks of crushed gold mica. Micaceous iron oxide is used to create the wrought-iron looking embellishments. A huge flock of tiny bats cascades from her shoulder all the way down her body. Over all of this is an enormous black spiderweb, complete with delicate dewdrops.
Finished off in a high gloss varnish, and trimmed with black satin cording, this piece will definately be an interesting conversation piece for any room! It is lightweight and easy to hang. It comes with a hook and a black satin ribbon, so you can have your choice of how to display it. This piece is signed and dated. It will never be recreated, as each piece evolves into its' own creation as I work.

This mannequin is for sale at Raven's Wish in Janesville WI, please contact www.ravenswish.com to purchase.

"Fabric of Life"

"Fabric of Life"
SOLD
This is an original, one-of-a-kind, life sized hanging mannequin. It never has been or will be reproduced. It is signed and dated by the artist. It was created in July, 2006 using a variety of acrylic paint, glaze, crushed pearl mica, gold mica, and a touch of glitter. The delicate, detailed butterflies seem to hover above the frilly pink flowers. There is a mixture of nine butterflies (one Monarch, three cream colored Parnassiuses, and five Common Blues.) A rich metallic background; one side black, copper, bronze, and brown, and the other gray, white, cream and silver, is intersected by an organically shaped stripe of teal paisley, metallic dot patterns, and tiny flower buds. There is crushed mica and tiny shimmering glitter cascading down the stripe. Tiny "stitches" give this piece depth and personality. It appears to be somehow sewn together as one piece.
This painting is bright, shiny and vibrant. Tons of neutral shades in the background mixed with the bold, vivid colors of the flowers, butterflies, and stripe of shimmering paisley allow it to coordinate easily with any color/theme of decor. It is lightweight and varnished, so it will hang safely on any wall (hook included). This piece will add a touch of elegance, and loads of texture to any space.
